Privacy Policy

To create and manage your account; deliver the training and track your progress; write progress reports about you for you, your school and a linked parent; apply and verify the Pass Guarantee and decide claims; process payments, voucher redemptions and referral rewards; send you service messages (welcome, reminders, expiry and completion notices, guarantee correspondence); provide support; and keep the platform secure.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with parties that help us run the service:

• Payment providers (PayFast and PayPal) to process payments.
• Our email service provider to deliver service emails.
• Secure cloud hosting, storage and email providers (Vercel, Railway, Cloudflare and Brevo) that run the platform, store course media and deliver our emails. Their servers are outside South Africa. We use them under contracts that require them to protect your information, as POPIA requires for information sent abroad.
• Your partner driving school, if you joined through one. It can see your progress, results, reports and contact details for the courses you took with it.
• A linked parent or guardian, who sees the learner’s progress, results and reports, read-only.
• An AI writing service (OpenAI) that composes the written progress report. It receives your name, your school’s name and your learning activity, and nothing else: not your email address, phone number or payment details. Under its business terms it does not use what we send to train its models.
• An airtime provider, to deliver referral rewards to the number you give us.
• Authorities, where we are required to by law.

Many of our learners are under 18. We process a child’s information with the consent of a parent or guardian, given when the learner is enrolled, whether by the learner, the parent or a school. A parent or guardian may ask to see, correct or delete it using the contact details below.

We use your browser’s local storage to keep you signed in and to remember basic preferences. We count visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which sets no cookies. When we advertise, we also use the Meta Pixel and the Google tag to learn which adverts bring people to the site and lead to a sign-up or a purchase; these may set cookies in your browser and share that visit with Meta or Google. We never sell your information. You can clear all of this at any time in your browser settings (you will then need to sign in again), and block these cookies there too.

We keep your account and learning records for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards, to honour the guarantee, meet legal and accounting obligations, and resolve disputes. You can ask us to delete your account: see your rights below.

Under POPIA you may ask us to confirm what personal information we hold about you, to correct it if it is wrong, or to delete it where we are not required to keep it. You may also object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.

We send marketing messages only with your consent, and every one carries a way to opt out. Service messages about your course (your login, reminders, expiry, your certificate, guarantee correspondence) are part of running the programme and are sent to every student.

We protect your information with measures such as encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to safeguard your information and to address any incident promptly.

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always on this page, with the date above showing when it last changed.
